“Stasi” is a path on a mountain. It's a downhill, and then an uphill. 30 minutes of smooth listening, and another 30 minutes of reverse listening.
In every song something goes in the opposite way, and to find out the true words, you have to climb the mountain, listening again to the songs in reverse. Infact the real length of the album is of 60 minutes.
Only a track remains unchanged throughout this path.
In "Stasi", my sicilian roots, raise their voice in a speech path-like Arabic. As those markets where goods are sold on the street "abbanniando" (=shouting).
And under the blinding lights you can find fresh fish and bloody meat.
"Stasi" is the result of an outside observer, who imagines the improbable fog on the hot and wet markets of the city of Palermo.
